In our house we try to do our part for the environment. We recycle, compost, have our own garden and try to do most of the things we talked about last year in my earth day post. I admit I’m not quite as environmentally conscious as I should be in some areas but I figure every little bit helps right? ย As my kids get older they point out more ways we should be doing our part which is why I recently had to buy a rain barrel. Hmm, somehow when it comes to them taking shorter showers their environmental conscience goes out the window. Go figure. ย Good thing they compensate in other areas. LOL

Lisa glanced at the windows. She couldnโt believe theyโd done that. How could they have had sex in his office for all the world to see? Even just thinking about it now made her insides squishy. Sex with Van was always amazing, but times like this, when he pushed past what she thought she wantedโthose times? Those were freaking off the charts.
โCome here,โ Van called.
Pulling her attention away from her thoughts and back to him, she walked towards his outstretched hand. When they touched, he pulled her down into his lap in his office chair.
She wrapped her arm around his shoulder and cuddled against his hard chest. โVan, that wasโฆ I donโtโฆโ She paused. โI donโt understand how you know me so well, itโs likeโฆโ Unable to articulate her thoughts, she sighed.
Van brushed her hair off her face and looked down at her tenderly. โWe want the same things, Lisa. You and I arenโt all that different. Itโs nothing to be ashamed of that we like things a little kinkier than the average person. Thatโs why weโre so good together.โ
Her heart stutteredโwas he finally going to do it? Theyโd been a couple for almost a year now, longer than heโd ever been with anyone else. Theyโd talked about a future together but it seemed like he always hesitated about taking that next step.
She closed her eyes and sank into his hand against her cheek. There was no denying they were amazing together. And for now maybe that needed to be enough. What they had he wasnโt going to find with anyone else, of that she was sure. Eventually heโd realise it. She was a patient woman. She hadnโt got to where she was without being able to help people see her point of view.
โSo, about Jason.โ Vanโs deep voice broke her out of her thoughts.
Heat raced across her cheeks. Mortified, she closed her eyes. God, she couldnโt believe sheโd admitted sheโd like to fuck him. Yeah, that was what every guy wanted to hear about his best friend. Maybe if she played it cool heโd just drop it. Pretend it didnโt happen. โWhat about him?โ

I recycle a lot. Also, I like to reuse things and make them into some kinds of arts and crafts with the little ones around. Nothing like taking “trash” and making it into something beautiful.

Thanks for the snippet. I take ends of balls of wool and knit them into tiny toys that kids love to play with.
I love to garden, and it is without chemicals. I enjoy growing the vegetables and canning them for my family. I try to share from our garden with our adult children and their families and even the neighbors where we live. I also have fruit trees.
I only go to town about once a week and make it into multiple events. I sometimes even make me a list of where I need to go and plan my route so that I am not backtracting.
My favorite past time is READING! and it is something I do ever single day. I own a Nook Color and a Kindle Fire. With nearly 5000 books between the two of them, I am still always looking for new and interesting authors.
Thanks for the tips. I would like to spend the day in the yard reading or taking a nature walk and drooling over the hunk pictured there. LOL We recycle and re-use as much as possible. Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win.

A lot of things people call green, were things I grew up with: lights off if no one is in the room, water off when brushing teeth, and I’ve always taken shorter showers. I also take reusable bags when I go shopping. It’s not a huge thing, but it feels like I’m doing something good.
I’m staying indoors reading today, as it is cold and rainy, but I have 2 trees waiting to be planted (holes are dug and waiting).

I live in the Pacific Northwest and we are the poster children of the “green” movement. You name it we do it, encourage it and figure out how to do it even “greener”. Happy Earth Day!

As for Earth Day, I don’t do anything different than I usually do. I recycle and try hard to lessen my carbon footprint. I want the planet to be around for a little longer.
